PRODUCT Detail
Cummins ISB is a mainstay of transit bus operations around the globe. From Beijing to London to San Francisco, the ISB provides a low cost of operation with excellent performance and fuel economy.
Updates include an increase in displacement from 5.9 to 6.7 liters (+13%). The result is an ISB that accelerates smoother and runs quietly, with greater power, efficiency and performance than ever before.
The VG Turbo is standard on every ISB engine, regardless of horsepower and includes electric actuation for more precise airflow management and faster response.
Electronic engine management is totally integrated to optimize combustion and air-handling systems. This includes monitoring the Cummins Particulate Filter and initiating regeneration events as needed. Regeneration is handled in-cylinder. It’s a simple, clean installation that is highly dependable and efficient.
Exceptional reliability, smooth acceleration and low operating costs and maintenance intervals make the ISB an ideal choice for transit/shuttle buses. Ratings include our special hybrid diesel/electric engine at 260 hp.
In addition to our comprehensive base warranty, it’s backed by the biggest customer support network in North America.
